We were inspired to create a simple, engaging app that encourages small, positive actions throughout the day, making self-improvement fun and accessible.
What it does
Micro-Challenges Roulette provides users with instant, randomized micro-challenges across various categories like health, social, and mindfulness. Users can generate new challenges, mark them as complete, and track their progress and streaks.
How we built it
We built the entire app using Bolt.new — no coding required!
Challenges we ran into
One challenge was ensuring smooth state persistence for completed challenges and streaks across sessions using local storage. We also focused on optimizing the UI for a seamless and responsive experience across different mobile devices.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of creating a highly interactive and visually appealing mobile-first application with a clean user interface. The ability to track streaks and completed challenges adds a motivating gamified element.
What we learned
We learned the power of rapid application development with Bolt.new, understanding how quickly a functional and polished app can be brought to life without writing traditional code. We also gained insights into effective UI/UX design for simple, single-purpose applications.
What's next
In the future, we plan to expand the challenge categories, introduce user accounts for personalized challenge history, and potentially add notification features to remind users about new challenges.
