Inspiration

We all know the negative impact social media can have on us. Reduced attention span, FOMO and anxiety to name a few. We would like to face that problems offering an app that could help everyone cope with their difficulties.

What it does

Our app offers achievement sharing - everyone can post photos related to things they've recently done and are proud of. Based on small communities and strict friend relationship without public exposition, we aim towards delivering an occasion to natural, unbiased contest of one's abilities and daily successes. Tagging posts with disciplines, liking others' work and saving posts as inspiring we would like everyone to fullfill their urge to widen their horizons and gain new skills inspired by their friends. Moreover, our quest system is meant to deliver even more joy to our users.

How we built it

We have divided our work between teammates into a distinct tasks adequate to everyone's abilities and interests. Working equally hard in both frontend and backend, we have competently faced all the challanges related to software engineering work.

Challenges we ran into

  • Joining frontend and backend together
  • Deploying our projects in cloud
  • Seeking information about software architecture and masterminding an effective, lega artis solution

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Facing a completely new computer science nieche we haven't touched before
  • Composing two distinct cloud deployments into an integral backend product

What we learned

  • A lot of full-stack and frontend development
  • Designing UI/UX, REST service and database technology

What's next for Weekings

There's a lot to improve, both in frontend and backend part. We have designed our app to be flexible and easy to enhance in the future, including various architectures (desktop, mobile), 3-rd party API integration and commercialization.
