College students constantly switch between multiple apps every day.

One app for chatting. Another for planning. Another for AI assistance. Another for payments. Another for food ordering. Another for transportation.

As a student, I experienced this problem firsthand and realized how fragmented student life had become.

That led to one simple question:

“Do we have one app for everything students need?”

Yes — WE-DO. ✨

The idea behind WE-DO was to reduce app overload and create a single ecosystem where students can manage communication, productivity, campus services, payments, and daily student needs — all in one place.

What it does

WE-DO is an AI-powered Campus Super App designed to simplify student life.

Instead of constantly switching between different platforms, students can access multiple campus-related services from one application.

Students can browse food items, place orders, and collect them quickly — reducing long queues during short breaks.

WE-DO supports campus vendors such as:

Students can browse and purchase essentials directly through the app.

Additionally, during college fests, students can temporarily register as sellers to showcase products, food stalls, or services.

Instead of repeated payment friction, students can recharge a wallet and make seamless payments across campus services.

For demonstration purposes, new users receive demo wallet credits to experience the payment workflow.

How we built it

WE-DO was built using MeDo AI App Builder through iterative development and structured conversations.

Instead of trying to build everything at once, the project was developed module by module.

The process included:

  • Designing the app architecture
  • Building role-based dashboards
  • Creating communication systems
  • Integrating productivity tools
  • Implementing AI assistance
  • Designing marketplace and payment flows
  • Improving UI and animations

The app also uses:

  • Stripe architecture for payment workflow planning
  • Email-based authentication for secure login
  • Wallet-based payment logic for smoother campus transactions

A major focus throughout development was creating a clean, modern experience with smooth navigation and usability.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was payment integration.

Since payment gateway onboarding and KYC verification in India can take time, integrating live payments during development became difficult. To demonstrate how transactions would work, I implemented demo wallet credits for new users so the payment experience could still be fully tested.

Another challenge was managing the complexity of an app with many modules while keeping the experience simple and intuitive.

Designing role-based dashboards for different campus stakeholders while maintaining a clean UI was also a significant challenge.

Most importantly, transforming an everyday student frustration into a practical solution.

What we learned

Building WE-DO taught me that creating a product is not just about features — it’s about solving real problems in a way that feels simple.

I learned:

  • How to break large ideas into smaller systems
  • The importance of user experience and smooth workflows
  • How role-based systems improve usability
  • The challenges involved in payment integrations and scalability
  • How AI tools can significantly accelerate product development

Most importantly, I learned that strong ideas become much more powerful when built around real user pain points.
