This project was inspired by the need to make digital content accessible for everyone, including people with visual impairments or dyslexia. I noticed that many websites are difficult to read for users with colorblindness or low vision, and I wanted to create a solution that is inclusive and easy-to-read.
I built this project using Python and Flask for the backend, and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend. I focused on designing colorblind-friendly layouts, high-contrast themes, adjustable font sizes, and dyslexia-friendly fonts to make the website usable for all.
During development, I learned a lot about web accessibility standards, responsive design, and dynamic content rendering with Flask. One of the challenges I faced was ensuring that the design worked well for users with different types of visual impairments while keeping it visually appealing. I overcame this by testing multiple color palettes, font styles, and interactive features like toggles for contrast and font size.
Overall, this project taught me the importance of inclusive design and how technology can break barriers to make information accessible for everyone.
