Inspiration

Our journey began with a simple question: How can we make everyday information and tasks more accessible and engaging? We were inspired by the endless possibilities that technology offers to simplify and enhance daily life. This vision drove us to create a versatile tool that not only answers questions but also assists with a variety of everyday tasks, empowering users to learn, solve, and manage more efficiently.

What it does

"Ask Me Anything" acts as a digital Swiss army knife. Whether you need a quick translation, coding help, gardening advice, or a recipe based on what's in your fridge, our AI is here to help. With the ability to understand questions through both text and images, it provides tailored, immediate responses that make your day easier and more informed.

How we built it

We utilized the powerful Meta Llama 3 LLM model as our AI backbone, integrating it with an intuitive user interface designed for simplicity and ease of use. For the game engine we used unity and the Meta presence sdk. We created an custom llama agent just to be tailored for this project.

Challenges we ran into

Since this was our first time developing a VR application, we faced numerous challenges in learning and prototyping simultaneously. We discovered the hackathon less than a week before the deadline, which required us to accelerate our efforts. The OVR examples were instrumental in helping us create a working prototype as quickly as possible. However, there is still much more we had planned to accomplish that we could not complete due to time constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting a working prototype out in limited time, learing the core concepts of unity and MR developement with the quest.

What we learned

Throughout this project, we gained valuable insights into core MR development for the Quest platform and Unity game development. We also learned about integrating with the Presence SDK, which was crucial for enhancing user interaction within our MR environment. Additionally, the experience of creating game assets from scratch deepened our understanding of the artistic and technical aspects of game design.

What's next for Webgeeks

Our ultimate goal is to further develop this application and make it available on the Meta Store. By refining our features and ensuring top-notch performance, we aim to provide users with an immersive and useful VR experience. Publishing on the Meta Store will not only increase our visibility but also allow us to reach a broader audience eager to engage with new VR technologies.
