Inspiration
I fell so sick at night and was unable to get access to medical care or anyone until morning. I lost weight before morning and was so weak. i had to call on a friend to come help me, I was dying slowly . My friend came and bought pills for me before I could leave my house to get medical attention and proper medication.
What it does
People can get chat with a doctor as well as get medications delivered to them in their homes link. They can also book appointments for lab test and to see a doctor and skip the long queues at the hospital.
How we built it
I started with design and layout using react reusable component to reduce writing much styles and html. Next was deciding on the application, What needs to be seen by who and what who should do. Then adding Web5 to give users permission to who owns their medical records.
Challenges we ran into
Web5 was quite tricky, at some point everything I was scared of the app not breaking down due to web5 technologies... Along the line I understood how it works, well still figuring out how to make storing const {web5, did} = web5.connect even when browser history is cleared.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I was able to leverage the Web5 technology. It is a great technology.
What we learned
Things appear to be difficult or confusing because they are new. And I got a concrete and practical understanding of how next js works in production. Utilizing web5 also made me delve more into react for better performance.
