Inspiration

At Web3vents, we were inspired by the need for a more secure and decentralized approach to event management. We wanted to create a platform that not only streamlined the event planning process but also provided unprecedented security and transparency for organizers and attendees alike. Additionally, we were motivated to prevent the sale of black market tickets, promote environmentally-friendly and efficient ticketing, and provide a royalty program for event organizers.

What it does

Web3vents is a decentralized event management platform that allows event organizers to easily create, manage, and promote events while also preventing the sale of black market tickets and promoting green and efficient ticketing. Our platform provides a user-friendly interface for event organizers and attendees, while our use of cutting-edge technologies such as Appwrite, Twilio, Typeform and Polygon ensures that the platform is secure and transparent.

How we built it

We built Web3vents on Next.js, TypeScript, Chakra UI, and Tailwind CSS. We also leveraged Appwrite for secure database management, Twilio for Email communication, and Typeform for user surveys.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was integrating all of the different technologies and ensuring that they worked seamlessly together in such a small period of time. We also struggled with the UI-UX of our project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're incredibly proud of the platform we've built and the positive impact it will have on the event industry. We're particularly proud of our efforts to prevent the sale of black market tickets, promote green and efficient ticketing, and provide a royalty program for event organizers. We believe that these features set us apart from other event management platforms and will be key to our success.

What we learned

One of the key things we learned was how to set up Appwrite using Docker, which allowed us to easily deploy the platform to our servers. We also learned how to use Appwrite to create and manage databases, as well as how to configure security settings to ensure that the platform was as secure as possible. We also learned how to use Twilio to send Email messages, as well as how to configure the platform to work seamlessly with our project.

What's next for web3vents

Moving forward, we plan to continue improving and expanding the Web3vents platform.
