Inspiration

With the rapid growth of internet usage in India, we realized that a massive amount of web activity data is generated every day but rarely analyzed effectively. Most users and organizations lack a simple tool to understand browsing behavior in a meaningful way. This inspired us to build Web Usage Consolidator (WUC)—a platform that transforms raw web usage data into useful insights.

What it does

Web Usage Consolidator collects and analyzes user web activity data to provide clear and structured insights. It helps users:

Track most visited websites Analyze time spent on different platforms Identify usage patterns and trends View data through interactive dashboards and charts

It essentially converts complex browsing data into easy-to-understand visual information.

How we built it

We developed WUC using a full-stack approach:

Backend: Built with Spring Boot following the MVC architecture Model: Handles web usage data Controller: Manages user requests Service: Processes and analyzes data Frontend: Designed using React and Tailwind CSS Created responsive UI with dashboards, tables, and charts AI Integration: Used Hugging Face to generate intelligent insights from data

Challenges we ran into

Handling and structuring large amounts of web usage data Integrating AI analysis smoothly with backend services Designing a clean UI that simplifies complex data Ensuring proper communication between frontend and backend Debugging API responses and data inconsistencies

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully built a complete end-to-end web application Implemented MVC architecture effectively Integrated AI-based insights into a practical system Created a user-friendly dashboard for data visualization Delivered a project that solves a real-world problem

What we learned

Practical implementation of full-stack development Deep understanding of MVC architecture Experience in integrating AI/ML services into applications Importance of UI/UX design for data-heavy applications Debugging and handling real-world development issues

What's next for Web Usage Consolidator (WUC)
