What it does
Our Web Scraping Tool extracts useful data from websites automatically and organizes it into a structured format. It helps users collect information quickly without manually copying data from multiple web pages.
How I built it
I built the tool using web scraping techniques with Python and libraries such as Requests and BeautifulSoup. The tool fetches web pages, analyzes their HTML structure, extracts the required information, and presents the results in an easy-to-use format.
Challenges I ran into
The main challenges were dealing with different website structures, handling missing or changing data, and making sure the scraper works reliably. I also had to handle errors and website response issues.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I successfully developed a working web scraping tool that can automatically collect and organize website data. I’m proud that it reduces manual work and demonstrates practical use of programming and data-processing skills.
What I learned
I learned how websites are structured, how HTTP requests work, and how to extract information from HTML pages. I also improved my Python, debugging, data-processing, and problem-solving skills.
What's next
I plan to improve the tool by adding support for more websites, better error handling, data export options such as CSV/Excel, and a more user-friendly interface. I also want to explore advanced scraping techniques for dynamic websites.
