What it does
It searches the price of a product in Amazon.es, Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it and stores the price in a .csv flie (in order to build a price history). If the price is lower than a given goal, it sends a message.
How we built it
With python and some libraries, the most important one being pandas and BeautifulSoup. The history is analyzed with excel.
Challenges we ran into
We didn't know almos anything about python, we have started from 0.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We've learned a lot, and it works better than expected.
What we learned
That if we want to, we are capable of performing a great job. And python, of course.
What's next for Web scraping for finding the best price
Automatically execute the program at boot up, and give it a nice interface and input method.
