Inspiration

DeFi has grown exponentially in the last few years but the tech is not user friendly or capable of customized automation. The industry is crying out for our DeFi management tools! We need to get it to a wide audience and integrated into as many protocols as possible to help them prepare for the next phase of growth in the DeFi sector.

From the early months of Autofarm's existence on the Binance Smart Chain, Stephen and Andreas worked alongside each other on the project's community management team, using their interests in DeFi and user experience to ensure the community remained an excellent place to be throughout their time there even amidst the challenges the team faced. Using their experience in this area, and through conversations with Jonny, who they also got in touch with via the Autofarm Discord server, the team started to formulate what Weave would look like from here. The Co-founders were quickly able to combine their experience in development, wealth management, project management and customer relations to create their vision for what would then become Weave. The project has been in development for over 1 year already.

What it does

1 Easy to use drag&drop yield farming strategy builder for Weave Pro, that can be followed by Weave Passive users 2 Your own strategy, your own personal smart contract which provides additional security. 3 Tailored by WEAVE widgets that license our strategy builder technology to other protocols (ie. Dex or Gamefi) to allow their users to create their own farming strategy within their own ecosystem.

Challenges we ran into

Obstacles 1. A fully functional platform for both Weave Pro and Weave passive. 2. Improving UI to make it as use friendly as possible 3. Community and market awareness 4. Securing funding

Solution: 1. Thorough testing and audit: An approval procedure to go through Dev testing->Team testing-> Community testing -> public release. 2. Regular community call for walk-through and collecting feedback. 3. Education and training through Weave Academy and marketing our powerful tools to crypto and non-crypto users alike. 4. Launch a funding round offering fair value to investors and making an attractive offer.

Long term (6 months~18months): Obstacles: 1. A native bridge integration with built-in cross-chain strategy on Weave. 2. Mass adoption to both Pro user and Passive users.

Solutions: 1. Exploring cross-chain partners including bridge providers, and wallet providers that we can build an application layer where users aren't even aware they are "cross chaining" 2. Build connections to influencers to create strategies to attract their followers. We had several personal youtube channels in the team to initiate such outcomes.

What's next for Weave Financial

A fully functional WEAVE website including WEAVE PRO(strategy builder) and WEAVE PASSIVE(copy-trading), Social platform that allows users to comment and feedback regarding strategies. An audit. A successful funding round. Wider rollout of the Weave tailored solutions strategy builder whitelabel product (designed for DeFi projects as well as centralised entities such as CEXs).

WEAVE is a next generation yield farming platform that offers a smart contract builder, delivering an exciting new way for DeFi users to enhance, optimise and automate their farming like never before.

Much more than just an auto-compounder, WEAVE HUB brings all of DeFi together in one place, allowing our users to yield farm on a wide range of DEXs on multiple chains, with lending and borrowing and even bridging all being available for use within a single farming strategy. This provides our users with unprecedented amounts of control over their strategies saving them time and increasing yields at the same time.

Our WEAVE HUB community is divided into PRO users (experienced yield farmers) and PASSIVE users (those that are new to DeFi, or simply want someone else to build quality strategies for them). Pros have the opportunity to share their strategies with Passive users, earning a share of platform fees for doing so, making it ideal for institutions, influencers and experienced farmers alike.

Our protocol is also being launched as a SaaS product (Weave Tailored Solutions), giving other DeFi protocols and their users the ability to benefit from our farming automation and compounding tools right from their own dapp. This delivers a great deal of benefits to these protocols including increased customer loyalty, higher TVL, higher APRs, more use cases for their native token, and more revenue.
