Inspiration
Experience with GPS location programming through my day job, plus the thought that it would be nice to have the car monitor things and tell the driver w/o having to take his/her eyes off the road.
What it does
Tracks your vehicle location and predicts your location in 10 miles based on lat/lon and heading. Then fetches current weather at that location and displays it.
How we built it
In our spare time.
Challenges we ran into
Flaky emulator; had to compute heading from previous and current lat/lon when gps_heading was not delivered to app.
