On the way to HackPSU from Rutgers, my friends and I were stuck in a light snowfall. We all knew approximately what time the snow would fall. But no one could really trust how accurate our weather applications were. As the snow fell, we all pondered whether 40% meant "definitely going to snow" or "chance of snow". The app also failed to describe how many inches. Meanwhile, this app, if implemented would have helped us design a more accurate of the two possible routes according to how dense the snow was falling on a particular highway
How I built it
I built it using Google Api and Accuweather to assure efficiency of the amount of data necessary to process the weather and routes
Challenges I ran into
Programming the pebble that could not be detected by phone. Essentially, the web app would be imported into the pebble to provide a sense of portability
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Accomplishing it myself for the first time
What I learned
How to fully develop an HTML page
What's next for Weather Watch
Fully bringing it to a pebble near you!!
