Is weather data related to railway assets failures?

What it does

Analysis of the correlation between the weather data and the railway assets failures as well as predictive modelling on predicting if an asset will fail and what kind of failure type it would be given the weather data.

How we built it

We built it all using Python and Jupyter notebook.

What we learned

We learned a lot about the challenges in railway assets maintenance as well as understanding how things can be of high influence on railway operations.

What's next for Weather Influence on Assets Failures

Expanding the usage of weather data to pinpoint the assets type that fails and their locations.
