Inspiration
Using AR to display weather information is a natural evolution of traditional weather apps, which typically rely on maps, graphs, or lists of data. The use of AR enhances the user experience by providing a more interactive and visually appealing way to view weather information
What it does
The app would use AR technology to create a digital layer of weather data and visualizations, such as temperature readings and cloud coverage. This can allow the user to see how the weather is affecting their immediate surroundings in real-time, rather than simply relying on a static map or list of data. Additionally, the app could also provide animated simulations of weather patterns, such as moving clouds or raindrops, for a more immersive experience
How we built it
Integrating weather api using lens studio, setting up animations according to weather conditions
Challenges we ran into
Leans studio crashes, weather api not working
Accomplishments that we're proud of
What we learned
What's next for Weather ForecastAR
can be converted to real time weather app, or can used for product advertisements depending on weather conditions
