Inspiration
Weather apps have become way too common now. So I thought, "why not add a funny twist to it?".
What it does
It gives you the weather of any city you enter but also insults it as well.
How I built it
I used Python, Flask and a LLM for the backend while I used HTML and CSS for the frontend. As for the background image, I drew the pixel art myself.
Challenges I ran into
Getting API Errors, accidentally comitting the .env file, URL not found error while deploying on Render.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'd say that I'm proud of turning a generic weather app into something funny.
What I learned
This project was a good introduction to Flask, API calling and Deployment for me.
What's next for Weather But Worse
Use my little brother's drawings and animate and implement them using JavaScript.
