Inspiration.

A few years ago I gained an interest in weather and every morning after I woke up I would check my weather app and predict how the climate would change, my mom would call me her weatherman and to this day I've been maintaining an interest in weather, so before I even heard about the bolt. New competition I had created and sketched a baseline of a weather app, so when I heard about bolt. new I knew this was my chance to create a weather app for the world to see.

What it does.

I know what your thinking this might just be your normal weather app but that's not the case this time. My weather app is an app that has radar's 7 day forecast's, one of my favorites is the timing slide where you can find out when a storm will hit using NOAA data to configure timing's for storms up to 7 days ahead. My favorite part is the natural disaster map that can show all past and current natural disaster which is surprisingly useful. The temperature slide shows the high and lows for the day and the total temperature range.

How we built it.

Using the bolt AI I was able to configure my weather app and shaped it into an amazing source for weather.

Challenges we ran into.

One of my biggest challenges was when I had to delete code so just in case I would have to make a backup file of the app in case something happened, also errors were hard to find so I had to go in and find them using lots of time and effort.

Accomplishments that we're proud of.

I feel that my biggest accomplishment during the competition was being able to learn and create an amazing app for people to use and enjoy. This also was such a big learning journey as I learned about vibe-coding and creating apps.

What we learned.

I've learned a lot about vibe-coding and how to use AI to create an app during this competition and I've also started understanding code better just in general

What's next for weatherora. After the competition I will take weatherora to the next step by releasing it as a public weather app available for download and from there if all go's well I will add a paid version with more features.
