Weather API and Data Visualization

Inspiration

Seeing three challenges of MLH : Build a data visualization, Use weather data, and Use a Data API (and may include we scraping), I intend to combine them together to make an application that could help other people planning their life based on weather.

What it does

My intention is making an application or website that could show users the weather based on their prompts. Also, we could use them to suggest their travelling plan based on the weather

How we built it

We plan to use the backend as Python or Java to connect the API of weather data, which in this case we are thinking of using PyOWM (Python OpenWeatherMap) to connect. While for the frontend, we are thinking of using a simple HTML5 or React to make a website.

Challenges we ran into

Since I work alone, there is a difficulty working on connecting both parts. Also, React is the hard to work with since it's the new idea.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Can make a full-fledge application for people to use. Moreover, we could apply the data science to the web application to develop the idea of Computer Science.
