Inspiration
Many people find it difficult to choose an outfit for different occasions. We wanted to create an app that helps people with this everyday struggle.
What it does
The user can write a prompt for their occasion in the text bar. There are also some provided suggestions provided by the app for the user to get more familiar with the way responses are structured. Then, users can create multiple chats with multiple pieces of clothing. Whenever they see a piece they like they can favorite it to have a better idea what the outfit will look like.
How we built it
We used React to build the frontend components and UI/UX functionality. For backend we used Flask where we integrated OpenAI and Axesso to use the Amazon Product API.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into were getting familiar with the different APIs and frameworks we decided to use and how to connect them all together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the way the UI/UX looks and is structured making it very simple and intuitive for users to navigate and make use of.
What we learned
We learned how to prioritize the different tasks that need to be completed and not be all over the place with our work.
What's next for Wear Me
The next move would be to make the search results return faster as well as more pieces of clothing.
