Observing how financial illiteracy leads to missed opportunities, debt, and economic stagnation, we envisioned a solution that simplifies financial education while making it fun and practical. Games like Monopoly proved that gamification could effectively teach complex concepts, so we adapted it to real-life financial scenarios with AI-powered personalization.
What It Does The Wealth Builder app is an AI-powered web portal designed to enhance financial literacy in rural areas through gamified learning. It offers: Gamified Learning: Inspired by Monopoly, users use interactive financial scenarios to understand balance sheets, assets, shares, mutual funds, and SIPs. Personalized Education: AI tailors the content to the user’s initial financial literacy level, ensuring gradual learning progression. Business Planning Tools: Guidance and resources help users start and manage small businesses with profitability strategies. Practical Simulations: Users can apply their knowledge in simulated local business environments for real-world relevance.
How We Built It Frontend Development: Built with React.js for a responsive and user-friendly interface. Backend Development: Developed using Node.js and integrated with MongoDB for data storage and user tracking. AI Algorithms: Python-based machine learning models assess financial literacy and tailor learning paths. Gamification: Implemented using JavaScript to simulate Monopoly-inspired scenarios and integrate financial concepts dynamically. Localized Content: Content is designed for rural communities, incorporating vernacular languages and relatable examples.
