I'm largely inspired by nightmares - that combination of reality and confusing and frightening nonsense that sticks with you long after you wake up. I also find it interesting that people can sometimes have a very dark side, yet still endeavour to be kind to their loved ones, offering them a joyful, fullfilling environment. And creepy stuff is fun.
