🔥 We R Cooked 🔥

💡 Inspiration?

We wanted to recreate the feeling of doom you get when applying for internships online. This job market is cooked and this web app gamifies applying to internships as a cooked CS student in 2024 while also adding a speedrun component to it.

🔥 What does it even do tho?

From Insta auto rejections to fake scam applications our gamified version of applying to internships is very realistic. Goal is to gain the most aura points as possible by applying to as much internships as you can in under 1 minute with don pollo distracting you and freakbob texting you every couple seconds as well as couple more characters like Gigachad and John Pork.

🛠️ How did we build it?

We built it using Next.js as our framework of choice since we've done the past 2 hackathons with it. We used Clerk for authentication integrated with Firebase to keep track of the users high score. For the distractions we used ElevenLabs to create our own Don Pollo AI conversational model that will call the user every couple of seconds to distract them. We used ChakaraUI for our user interface

💀 Challenges We Ran Into:

Some challanges we ran into was the holidays. we got distracted with turkey and black friday.

🏆 Accomplishments we’re lowkey proud of

Being New Hackers and getting all this done. All team members have been to less than 5 hackathons! Integrated Clerk and Firebase Deployed a live version of the web app Integrated conversational AI of don pollo UI looks brainrotty

More brain rot needs to be added more feature rizz score will be added in the future vibe check needs to get integrated as well. more postings tailored to international students and new grads
