Inspiration We wanted a metaphor that captured the heart of our creative philosophy. Flowers felt right because they represent growth, possibility, and the transformation of something small into something extraordinary. We Grow Flowers became a visual expression of how ideas bloom when they are nurtured with curiosity, experimentation, and intention. What it does We Grow Flowers is a short film that shows creativity as a living organism. Each bloom represents an idea coming to life, growing in unexpected ways, and expanding into something vibrant. The piece demonstrates our belief that creative work is not manufactured. It is cultivated. How we built it We generated hundreds of floral forms, textures, environments, and growth sequences through AI, then shaped them into a cohesive narrative. The workflow combined realistic botanical references, stylized motion, and conceptual transitions to depict ideas evolving in real time. The film was designed to feel organic, emotional, and alive. Challenges we ran into The challenge was finding the right balance between realism and metaphor. Too realistic and the film would feel like a nature study. Too abstract and the idea would lose emotional clarity. We navigated this tension by using real floral physics as the anchor and allowing the AI tools to push the form into new, imaginative territory. Accomplishments that we are proud of We created a film that captures our studio’s ethos in a single, simple idea. The flowers feel expressive, the growth feels purposeful, and the metaphor is clear without being literal. It is a signature piece that communicates who we are and how we think. What we learned We learned that metaphors are powerful when they are grounded in emotion. We also learned that AI can create natural movement and organic evolution when guided by strong conceptual frames. The process reinforced our belief that creativity grows best under freedom, not constraint.
