Project Story: We Empact

Inspiration

The inspiration for We Empact came from seeing underage beggars on the streets, especially near religious places. These children, denied education and opportunities, represent a lost future. Traditional donations felt disconnected, and I wanted to create a solution where donors can see their impact and directly support children in need.

What it does

We Empact connects compassionate individuals with children in need, offering a transparent way to financially support their growth and development. Donors can adopt a child, track their contributions, and receive monthly updates to see the difference they are making.

How we built it

  1. Research & Partnerships: We collaborated with local schools, orphanages, and NGOs to ensure the funds were properly allocated.
  2. Platform Development: A user-friendly website was created where donors could select children to support, track donations, and get updates.
  3. Legal & Ethical Considerations: Ensuring parental consent and data privacy for all children involved was a top priority.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Trust & Transparency: Ensuring donors could see where their money was going required building a clear tracking and reporting system.
  2. Legal Issues: Navigating parental consent, data privacy laws, and working with local governments.
  3. Sustainability: Keeping donors engaged for the long term and ensuring steady funding for children.

What's next for We Empact

We plan to expand our network of children and donors, improve our platform’s features for better engagement, and seek partnerships with more schools and organizations to further our mission. We also aim to raise awareness on a larger scale to inspire more people to empower children and change their futures.
