The inspiration for this story is my friends. Every time we decide to go out to a restaurant we face a lot of obstacles, everyone has a different taste and preference. So, we decided to come up with this solution to solve this problem.

What it does

This project takes in responses to various questions answered by a group of friends that they create. After the responses are submitted we compare those responses and provide a result of the set of restaurants based on their choices. For example, if more people in a group select Thai cuisine then we display thai cuisines as the first option for them.

How we built it

We built it using HTML, CSS, JavaScript. We shared ideas, created the interface for our project. Everyone's ideas and skills were used to develop this project and its idea.

Challenges we ran into

The integration of the project was one challenge that we faced as everyone is remote and we had to spend a lot of time on it. We also tried to write onto the local machine using the javaScript code, but due to the security constraints of javaScript that was not possible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have had this idea for a long time, and I am happy that we were able to implement this at least now. Also, this is our first hackathon and we are proud to complete this. We are also proud that we were able to come up with this in a short span of 24 Hours.

What we learned

The javaScript challenge we faced has taught us that we can only write onto the local machine using a framework such as node.js only, and it is not possible with javaScript. JS can be used to write only in web storage.

What's next for We.choose

We plan to make this app suitable for multiple groups wherein, a user can generate a unique code and share this code to create a unique group. We also plan to implement a database to store details. We also want to develop this as a mobile application.
