Blockchain would be a suitable technology to address the needs of the pharmaceutical supply chain.
What it does
It will decrease the movement the counterfeit.
How we built it
We built it using IBM Blockchain with hyperledger fabric. The IBM Blockchain Platform 2.0 creates a Hyperledger Fabric network on an IBM Kubernetes Service, and the operator installs and instantiates the smart contract on the network. The Node.js application server uses the Fabric SDK to interact with the deployed network on IBM Blockchain Platform 2.0.
Challenges we ran into
We didn't know much about private blockchain and making smart contracts. We went through number of tutorial for IBM Blockchain and hyperledger fabric.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
To understand hyperledger fabric and finally able to create that type of network in IBM Blockchain inclusing peers, MSP and orderes.
What we learned
We have a learned a lot working on this project. We are still working on project to make it much more accessible.
What's next for we are trying to create a supply chain based on blockchain.
