Inspiration

We're tired of walking all the way to a kitchen only to find that Steve and Niraj took all the Milano Cookies.

What it does

Allows Wayfair employees a peek into a kitchen's snack supply.

How we built it

Redbulls and Magic. Also, Wayfair stack.

Challenges we ran into

Designing our database's schema, as well as accessing pre-built databases.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having fun while building this. Being able to coordinate with a team as interested in this pressing problem as I am.

What we learned

Nikat is a pretty funny dude.

What's next for WaySnacks

• Data-driven inventory of snacks for what employees actually want.
• Incentivize crowdsourcing using internet points.
• Let service workers know what each kitchen wants.
• Health analytics to keep track of the amount of calories consumed.
• Trim Wayfair’s snack budget on unpopular/least-consumed snacks.
