About the Project

During an emergency, every second matters. Whether it is a flood, fire, road accident, or another disaster, people often struggle to find the right emergency services, safe locations, and accessible routes quickly.

This inspired us to build WAY WISE AI, an AI-powered emergency navigation and safety platform that helps users make faster and safer decisions during critical situations.

💡 What Inspired Us

We realized that emergency information is often scattered across different sources. In a stressful situation, searching for hospitals, fire stations, police stations, shelters, or other emergency locations can waste valuable time.

Our goal was simple:

Make emergency information accessible at the moment people need it most.

🚨 What WAY WISE AI Does

WAY WISE AI provides an interactive map that helps users identify relevant emergency locations based on their situation and location.

It can help users locate:

🏥 Hospitals and medical facilities
🚒 Fire stations
👮 Police stations
🛟 Emergency and relief locations
📍 Other important safety points

The platform visually highlights important locations on the map so users can understand their surroundings quickly instead of searching manually. ⚙️ How We Built It

We combined AI, interactive maps, location-based services, and a simple user interface to create the platform.

The core idea is:

User Location → Emergency Situation → Relevant Locations → Map-Based Guidance → Faster Decision

We focused heavily on making the interface simple, clear, and easy to use during stressful situations.

🧠 What We Learned

While developing WAY WISE AI, we learned that an emergency application cannot focus only on technology. It also needs to consider speed, accuracy, accessibility, and user experience.

We learned how to work with location-based data, integrate maps, design an emergency-focused interface, and turn a real-world problem into a practical technology solution.

🚧 Challenges We Faced

One of our biggest challenges was presenting a large amount of emergency information without overwhelming the user.

We also had to think about how to make the map understandable at a glance and how to organize emergency locations based on different situations.

WAY WISE AI aims to become more than just an emergency map. Our vision is to create a smart safety companion that can help people understand their surroundings, identify critical resources, and make better decisions when every second counts.
