Inspiration

I wanted something fun and challenging to fill the small gaps in my day... waiting for a Claude session to finish, waiting for my turn in the office standup, waiting for my turn in a badminton match on weekends, and so on.

So I built Wavy. Now I'm building Wavy with Claude, and playing Wavy while Claude finishes its task... haha.

What it does

Wavy is a quick pocket game you can play without committing your full focus to it. Pick it up, solve a level or two, and put it down.

How we built it

I built it purely in SwiftUI, with AI tools like Claude helping along the way.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was settling on a design system for the app....a style that I could follow consistently across the entire experience. I eventually landed on a reels style scrolling concept.. you finish one level, and the next one appears instantly. Similarly, I wanted a unique visual style where the wavy nature of the app is reflected throughout the experience.

What's next with Wavy?

Currently, it as limited levels with 2 games, but I do have many engaging mini game ideas to add in the app, while maintaining the design system of the app. I will continue to ship more as I couldn't ship enough during hackathon timeline due to my daily office commute etc...

I see Wavy as an experimental design app for my self, where I implement all the crazy ideas that keeps coming in my head.
