Waveward lets you open Audacity .aup4 and .aup3 projects directly in your browser, with no Audacity installation required. Your files are parsed locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server. Waveward rebuilds the tracks and clip timeline from the project, so you can press play and hear the mix right away using the Web Audio API.
Exporting is free for projects up to 256MB: render a stereo WAV or MP3 in a couple of clicks. For heavier needs, a one-time $19 Pro upgrade adds recovery for damaged projects, stem ZIP export with one file per track, export of large projects, and downgrade to the Audacity 3 format for older workflows.
