WaveDirect App Prototype

Inspiration

According to statistics Canada’s rural population is older than the urban population. Within predominantly rural regions, 15% of the population is senior (65 years of age and over) compared to 13% in predominantly urban regions.Canada’s rural population is aging faster than their urban counterparts in terms of the change in the share of the population that is senior. WaveDirect focuses on providing rural internet, so thinking about the accessibility of elderly, I developed the prototype with the help of a disability simulator (you can see that the fonts are bigger and the buttons too and I kept the site default).

What it does

The user can edit the profile, see his current plan, test the internet speed, see tutorials and talk to support through a chat.

How I built it

Just using Figma. **I was unable to develop the app because my laptop is not working, but they told me to send it anyway.

What I learned

I realized how important accessibility is and how challenging an interface can be for an elderly or disabled person.

What's next for WaveDirect App Prototype

I would improve the functions and add more features.
