Inspiration

Im a songrwriter that sometimes has ideas pop into my head. Id love to be able to record them and expand on them while away from home on my phone or portable device.

What it does

Records audio, uses AI to transform the audio to an orchestra and several other instruments. Allows you to create a project folder where you can store your audio recordings and transformations. The app also features a effects tab where you can add reverb, chorus, delay and other effects to recorded audio.

How we built it

Used ChatGPT to help make initial prompt for the app, then asked chatGPT to develop a PRD. Asked Claude 4 Sonnet to enhance the PRD. Made sure I included a photo for color pallet and a few fonts I liked to start with. I then copied and pasted the PRD to Bolt and started on Phase 1, edited the UI, changed fonts, added effects ect. then went on to phase 2 where recording functionality was added, then on to phase 3, phase 4 where the AI Component was added and then to phase 5 where the subscription options were added.

Challenges we ran into

Issues with connecting the API to Replicate. The API key I created was disabled. Then having issues testing the AI abilities and effects.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is my first time making an app with AI so I learned a lot! Im proud I stuck it out and kept tunign into the Bolt meetings on X and kept applying what I learned and other creators methods to see what worked best for me. Im proud that I got a working concept.

What we learned

I learned about prompts and the power they hold in creating your vision. I also learned that its trial and error. I learned about websites and connecting API keys and automation integration.

What's next for Wave2Music

This project will continue to grow adding more instruments and the ability to have the AI help with things like melody, lyrics and beats in the future.
