Inspiration The idea for WattWise sparked from observing how unaware most people are of their actual electricity usage. Rising electricity bills and wasted energy made me realize the urgent need for a solution that provides visibility into household power consumption.

What it does WattWise is a smart energy monitoring system that tracks real-time electricity usage per appliance. It offers detailed insights, alerts users of over-usage, and suggests energy-saving measures—helping users save money and reduce their carbon footprint.

How I built it I designed WattWise using simulated sensor data and a custom-built dashboard. The front-end visualizes real-time usage and trends, while the back-end logic analyzes data for consumption patterns. I focused on a clean, intuitive interface to make energy tracking simple and insightful.

Challenges I ran into Accurate per-appliance simulation and creating a smooth real-time experience were my biggest hurdles. Balancing design simplicity with technical complexity also took careful effort.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of I'm proud of building a fully functional prototype that not only works seamlessly but also addresses a real-world issue with a user-first approach.

What I learned I learned about energy systems, real-time data visualization, and user-centric design. Collaboration and problem-solving were key throughout the process.

What's next for WattWise: Intelligent Energy for Every Home Next, I aim to integrate with IoT-based smart plugs for live appliance-level tracking and add AI-based predictive analytics to suggest optimal energy usage patterns.
