Inspiration
Our inspiration is the aricle titled, "Chinnasamy, Pennan, and Govindasamy Agoramoorthy. 2015. “Groundwater Storage and Depletion Trends in Tamil Nadu State, India.” Water Resources Management 29 (7): 2139–52. https://doi.org/10.1007/s11269-015-0932-z." which states that there is a high range of decrease in the ground water level in recent years in the area we studied (Tamil Nadu).
What it does
Our instruments converts the atmospheric air to water by condensing it to it's due point temperature, and based on the input from the sensors the water produced is discharged to the ground. The refrigerating unit is operated by means of the gravity mechanism.
How we built it
We modeled our device using the software "SolidWorks 2020" and we designed our website using "Google Sites".
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge that we dealt with is to bring aesthetic climatic conditions by increasing the ground water level. The challenge that we faced while designing is implementing the refrigeration parts and the gravity mechanism to bring the required output.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to introduce a new method of preventing water scarcity (i.e.) by increasing the ground water level. Also we have the privilege of introducing an Eco-friendly means of generating power (through gravity).
What we learned
We learned about the importance of ground water in climatic control and also for the survival of living organisms.
What's next for Groundwater Re-charger - WATO METER
We have planned to develop a real time application for having an overall control over the complete instrument.
