Inspiration
I am from Nepal. Homes in Nepal have water tanks on their roofs and an electronic water pump to pull water into the rooftop tank. The home residents have to manually turn the water pump on and then off to fill the tank. Often people forget, and a lot of water is wasted.
What it does
Uses an ultrasonic US-100 sensor to track water level and alert the user if the tank is about to overflow.
How we built it
React Native, Expo, MQTT, pigpio, adafruit package

Running MQTT successfully on mobile, implementing a functional MVP

Working with an IoT system between different devices and working with new sensors.

Better logic to measure water level.
