Inspiration

Our team recognized the need for artists and businesses to protect their intellectual property. Manually adding watermarks to each image can be time consuming so we created an application that helps creatives save time and effort.

What it does

Imagine protecting your content with a personalized watermark with the click of a button. Our Adobe Express add-on, Watermarker, generates and applies a watermark using your name and logo directly onto your current page. It doesn't matter if you're an amateur or professional. Watermarker will ensure that your content remains distinctly yours.

How we built it

Front-end: React and Ant Design

Back-end: JavaScript and add-on UI SDK from Adobe.

We utilized Adobe Express' API to develop the UI and functionality of the add-on.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge we ran into while building Watermarker was navigating the add-on UI SDK documentation and the implementation of their methods. We also had issues with deprecated dependencies and needed to find alternative ways to implement certain features.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were proud to learn and leverage new libraries in a short amount of time to complete our project with a modern UI. By utilizing a canvas we were able to customize the watermark to the user's specifications and provide additional features.

What we learned

We learned how to develop an application while utilizing a 3rd party platform's library. More importantly we recognized the value of being flexible and creative when implementing methods while developing the project.
