Objective of this program is to determine the user's water consumption for their specific appliance. An IR sensor is used to detect running water at the faucet and records the duration for when the faucet is turned on. A LCD display can used to show which appliance is being used and how long their last water session was. The raspberry pi sends the total time in one minute intervals to the web server. A website is used to display the user's information and describe their water usage through visual graphs and other statistics. To gain access to their own data, the user must sign in with their google account. On their own page, they are also allowed to add more devices by inputting the pi's MAC address and labeling the appliance.
