WaterBank was inspired by the challenge of deciding which areas should be prioritized when water resources are limited during droughts.
We combine data from BMKG, BNPB/InaRISK, BPS, and water-access sources to analyze rainfall, drought risk, population vulnerability, and water access. The data is processed into a Water Priority Score that helps governments identify areas requiring the most attention.
We learned that building an AI solution is not only about the model, but also about finding, cleaning, and combining reliable real-world data.
Our biggest challenge was dealing with different data formats, geographic coverage, and data availability across government sources
