The Flint Michigan situation inspired us to provide a website to make the general population more aware of countries facing a lack of a human need, clean water, because US citizens are often unaware that water pollution is a pressing issue for other countries.
What it does
It has an interactive map, pinned with the locations of the worst polluted waters, and then there are buttons on the bottom that link to the individual countries, and describes how each are impacted by the pollutants. Then it provides a "Donate Here" button that allows the user to donate to a charity that supports that region's water quality assurance.
How we built it
We built it on Visual Studio, using Bootstrap and Hugo, coding with html.
Challenges we ran into
We had to alter our idea constantly from the start to fit our ability to wcode, and then we also had to fix bugs that occurred while coding the project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built our first website, all in five hours, we also provided awareness to the water insecurity in contries around the world.
