Water Wise

Inspiration

Droughts usually plague California, and that is due to the high water usage of Americans. The worst part is that most Americans don't know how much they use and how to reduce it. WE had to help inform Americans

What it does

It allows people to input tasks they did for the day, and the website tells them how many gallons that task used. It also gives people tips on how to reduce water usage.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with creating a simple and appealing UI for the user.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that this website is user-friendly and simply allows people to track how much water they are using for a day. WE believe that if we want to solve the water crisis, each person needs to do their part, and the first step is to inform them on how much water they are using.

What we learned

We learned the amount of gallons of water simple tasks take and the average amount of water people use every day. We also got more experience with JavaScript and UI.

What's next for Water Wise

We plan to add a calendar log that saves the amount of water people use for each day and then calculates the average water use for a week, month and year
