Inspiration

Our project was inspired by the challenges posed by past drought situations.

What it does

This application reads and displays real-time data, ranging from lake levels to user consumption metrics.

How we built it

Our system was developed using ESP32 microcontroller to read sensor data, which is then transmitted via the serial port of a laptop to a Grafana-hosted dashboard.

Challenges we ran into

Initially, we encountered issues with API connectivity and establishing communication between the microcontroller and the computer.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that our project ultimately succeeded, resulting in a functional and ambitious project.

What we learned

The project underscored the importance of collaboration. Each team member contributed in areas that best matched their skills, leading to successful project execution.

What's next for Water Tracker

Next, we would like to expand our project by using more microcontrollers and enhancing our ability to monitor communication through the dashboard.
