Inspiration

Our inspiration was that scarcity of water is a very important problem at the time, in which many people do not pay attention to, water is a very important resourse of our life and Earth's fresh water is limited. Also, we believe we can make a change by creating awareness in people, so that they can start using water more consciously and so they now the consequences the lack of water can bring.

What it does

Our project's principal objective is to help people calculate their Water Footprint, so they can be aware of how they are contributing to the water wear.

How we built it

First, we thought about the problematic we wanted to talk about. Then, we made a brainstorm of the things our page can include, and that's when we decided to make the calculator of the Water Footprint and add information about the damage impact this can cause and some possible solutions. Finally, the used our knowlodge in HMTL, CSS and Javascript software to make our idea work.

Challenges we ran into

Some challanges where that sometimes we didn't know how to make the saving time code work, and instead we had to dedicate a little more time than expected. Also, we had a little hard time chosing the problem, the design we were going to use, and at the end we had trouble with the domain.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of learning and trying out new projects, that our proyect worked as we planned to, being able to make and work with new friends, such as getting the opportunity to learn from one another, and enjoying this incredible proyect.

What we learned

We learned to create a dynamic survey type of page with code to obtain the result of someone's Water Footprint and what factors are involved in order to calculate it. From software, this is always something new to learn, like using a different code to achieve something better. We learned a lot from each others points of view and worked together to built this proyect.

What's next for Water Footprint

We would like that our page can reach many users that will help the world creating awareness, so that young people can become the change that the world needs to see, in order to save and preserve the fresh water we have on our planet Earth. Also, we want to continue to complement our page with more information and data about this important topic.
