Inspiration: we wanted to find out more about water usage around the world and learn about some organizations who are currently trying to make clean water accessible to more people around the world.
What it does: There are 10 trivia questions involving the usage, distribution, and availability of water and a page with links to some organizations that are launching efforts to increase the availability of drinkable water.
How I built it: We made an Android app; the trivia section has 10 multiple choice questions about water statistics, each one having 4 choices. Each choice has a button that, when pressed, prints a message to a label that tells you if the choice you chose was correct or incorrect.
Challenges I ran into: we had trouble arranging the components of each page in the way we wanted it at first, but we eventually figured it out after a lot of experimenting.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of: we were able to import images into our app.
What I learned: I learned how to add images to an app and how to make an app page that has scrolling capabilities.
What's next for Water Conservation Trivia: we may show this app to more people to raise awareness on how important it is to conserve water and find ways for more people around the world to gain access to clean, sustainable water.
