As many amazing things there are in this world, there are also several problems, almost countless. Therefore, to narrow down my options to the main ones, I sent out a form to family and friends, which also helped me to allow the difference in problems between age groups. However, a common idea that often came up was prejudice, on a local, national and international scale. For example, Sanmi (14) stated "Probably any type of prejudice and most importantly beauty standards as they factor into like everything and are deeply rooted in racism and sexism". Furthermore, I was able to discover a link between prejudice and crime, due to the news stories often seen about many harmed either mentally or physically as a result of violent behaviour from strong discriminatory views. Therefore, I came to a conclusion that I would combat this topic.

Often, when in danger there is no time to call for help in whatever form, so WatchR (built using Python OpenCV ) allows you to choose from 5 different options to help you in a desperate situation by simply holding up a certain number of fingers (the video attached goes through each of these in detail). Ideally, a webcam would be placed under a car seat, which can be seen and accessed from the user's phone, where the webcam used could also be switched to the phone's camera. This is to ensure that there is no hassle and by simply reaching under your car seat with a certain number of fingers, it would be possible to get the help you need.

One of the biggest challenges would definitely have been to get the noise to call for help working, as I had to ensure that it would only work for two of the options, one of the two being all of the above. However, after a while, I figured out a way to overcome this. As expected, there were a lot more little hurdles along the way, yet the best part of creating it was learning so many new things, making me proud of my project as a whole.

As for any project, there will always be improvements, and for mine, the first steps would be trying to get the other options to work fully, something I am still in the process of exploring. Perhaps customisable options could be something to look forward to in the future as well. Thank you for this opportunity and your time, and lastly I was wondering if you had any improvements to suggest from your side?

Once again, thank you and I hope that I have made WatchR's positive impact on this world memorable for you.
