Event management system

This system eases registration and management of events by providing ID card with unique QR to all participants of that particular event and scanning that for everything related to that event.

Inspiration

The idea of our hack evolved after hosting an event in my college. The biggest problem on hosting an event is the management of all participants. Usually there will be volunteers for all programs(workshops, competitions, games etc.) on that event holding a register for marking attendance for all participants in that event or in front of food counter checking the food coupon etc. the task of these volunteers will get more complicated as the number of participants increase. So, we build our system that makes this easy.

What it does

We provide an ID card with a unique QR to all the participants of that event. Our app has a scanner that scans the ID card and updates database accordingly. We have also build a website that is open for all participants from which they can download their certificate if they have attended. The following are it's feature.

  1. registration 2.marking attendance 3.automatically printing the certificate for the participants if they have attended. 4.dowloading the details of registration and attendance as a csv(excel) file 5.listing the details of participants, their attendance..etc.

How we built it

App and website - flutter Backend - flask database - SQL

Challenges we ran into

Time was a big constraint for developing a fully functional app and website including backend. Clearing bugs was another big challenge.

We are proud to develop and implement this system with this short period of time.

Working with team, managing time, developing a system.. and lot more.

What's next for Event management system

We have to fix some bugs and also increase the number of functionality
