Healthy Heart Kenya is running a 3 month pilot program with 5 farming communities in Kiambu. Their nurse Brenda finds it tough to keep engagements short and keep track of collected data easily. It is difficult and costly for healthcare professionals to screen rural populations in Kenya for cardiovascular disease. The solution is a cloud based engagement platform using SMS to survey respondents whilst remotely monitoring blood pressure. Our custom solution doesn’t rely on 3rd party platforms and works no matter what part of the world its needed in, with any cell network. Open sourcing the project enables other developers to help move the codebase and feature set forward for free.
