Proofline
Proofline is an autonomous release-evidence agent for software teams. A release event starts a repeatable evidence run that inspects repository reproducibility, probes the deployed surface, scores operational risk, and returns PASS, HOLD, or BLOCK. Instead of another chatbot or dashboard that asks a human to interpret scattered CI badges and claims, Proofline gathers the evidence first and surfaces only the smallest decision that genuinely still needs a person.
Why it matters
Small teams often ship based on fragmented proof: a green badge here, a screenshot there, a README claim, and intuition. Proofline turns release confidence into a deterministic, auditable workflow tied to a specific repository commit.
How it works
- A release candidate supplies a repository, commit SHA, deployment URL, and externally visible claims.
- Proofline derives a stable commit-scoped idempotency key so duplicate events map to the same run.
- Deterministic collectors inspect reproducibility documentation and live runtime health.
- The evidence is converted into a risk score; runtime failure is a hard blocking signal.
- A Google ADK agent using Gemini interprets the verified evidence and explains the smallest unresolved human decision.
- Firestore persistence and Pub/Sub ingress provide durable, asynchronous workflow infrastructure.
- A judge-facing FastAPI dashboard makes the evidence and verdict visible.
Architecture
- Gemini 3.6 Flash
- Google Agent Development Kit (ADK)
- Python + FastAPI
- Firestore persistence adapter
- Pub/Sub event publisher
- Dockerized Cloud Run target
- GitHub Actions CI
The model does not get to manufacture a passing check: evidence collection and risk scoring stay deterministic outside the model boundary.
Current verification status
The deterministic release gate, ADK agent definition, Firestore/Pub/Sub adapters, dashboard/API, Docker container, tests, and CI configuration are implemented in source. Real Google Cloud deployment evidence and live Gemini/ADK execution are being verified before final submission; the project does not claim those external proofs until they have actually occurred.
Hackathon category
Taskmaster — Proofline is an event-driven workflow that autonomously performs multi-step release verification and takes a release-gating action rather than merely generating text.
