π Car Services Platform Project
π Project Overview
A comprehensive digital platform that allows users to book car service appointments, request towing (depannage), track service status in real time, and make online payments β all within a user-friendly interface available in three languages: Arabic, French, and English.
π‘ What Inspired Me
The idea was born from a personal experience with a sudden car breakdown on the road. I realized the need for a reliable application that connects users directly to nearby auto services. I also noticed a lack of platforms that combine all these features in one smooth, efficient system.
π What I Learned
- How to implement multilingual support using
react-i18next. - State management with React Context and LocalStorage.
- Designing responsive UIs that support RTL languages like Arabic.
- Building user-specific dashboards (Customer, Driver, Admin).
- Integrating Google Maps for service location and routing.
π οΈ How I Built It
- Frontend: Built with React and TypeScript.
- Backend: Node.js with Express and MongoDB.
- Styling: Tailwind CSS for clean and fast UI design.
- Translation: Organized language files under
localesand connected them viareact-i18next. - User Roles: Separate login and access control for Customers, Drivers, and Admins.
- Location Services: Integrated Google Maps API to handle pickup locations and directions.
π§ Challenges I Faced
- Supporting Arabic language and RTL layout without breaking UI consistency.
- Securely managing access and features for three user roles.
- Balancing simplicity and functionality for an optimal user experience.
- Ensuring responsive design across all screen sizes and devices.
β Final Result
The final product is a flexible, scalable platform that provides a real-world solution for car owners. It saves time and effort when dealing with car issues and enhances the overall customer experience in managing vehicle services.
