Inspiration
WarScape was inspired by the need for a safe, cost-effective, and immersive military training platform. Traditional training requires significant resources, so we wanted to explore how Augmented Reality (AR) and 3D technology could provide a realistic training experience.
What it does
WarScape is an AR-based 3D army training platform that allows users to experience realistic military simulations. It includes interactive training modules, 3D environments, user authentication, progress tracking, and an intuitive dashboard for managing training activities.
How we built it
We developed the frontend using React.js and designed a responsive user interface. The backend was built with Node.js and Express.js, with MongoDB used for storing user and training data. APIs were created to connect the frontend and backend, and AWS was used for deployment and cloud hosting.
Challenges we faced
Some of the major challenges included integrating the frontend with the backend APIs, managing user authentication securely, handling cloud deployment, and designing a responsive and user-friendly interface.
What we learned
This project helped us gain practical experience in full-stack web development, REST APIs, cloud deployment, database management, teamwork, and building scalable applications.
