Inspiration

Last year was difficult, the world was hit by covid-19, we wanted to give everyone a memento in form of NFT to showcase the victory and rough time everyone had. We realized, if everyone faced this why not everyone can create something together. We also didn't wanted to constraint ourselves with one subject/theme. We wanted it to be purely decentralized, a DAO.

What it does

It is a DAO governed NFT project based on generations, where each generation will have a subject or a theme which is chosen by the DAO, anyone can from all around the universe can take part in this using the governance token. This will lay the foundation of many ideas. Like using it to support a cause, new way of fundraising or brand engagement. We aim to extend this to Virtual Avatars which will be used in virtual world or games. As example, we built a prototype, where anyone submit a story and get a warrior to portray the battle against covid.

How we built it

We have used Ethereum and it is costly for a reason. It is currently live on Rinkeby test network. The front-end is built using NextJS. We are using IPFS for Asset Storage. To ensure that few smart contract functions are invoked using the dapp only, we used AWS Lamda to generate a signature which will be verified at those function invocation. The project uses logistics equation to simulate real-world population. It will take over a century to run out of Warriors supply. Some generation will have population as low as 3000. Thanks to chaos, each generation will have unique population.

Challenges we ran into

Most challenging part of this project was finding a way to limit supply but at the same time support multiple type of projects.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have created a NFT project that focuses to create a community-run project where people can not just buy, but be part in decision making and creation process. A DAO-governed NFT Project. We are also proud to find an amazing team.

What's next for Warriors

The next steps for Warriors is to:-

  1. Build Governance Mechanism.
  2. Launch Governance Tokens.
  3. Launch a platform to receive proposals.
  4. Streamline the process.
  5. Transfer Ownership to the DAO.
